Privacy Policy
Shutter Perfect · effective 24 October 2026
Shutter Perfect ("the game") is made by Cheesoca. This policy explains what data the game handles and why. In short: the game itself never asks for your name, email or account, keeps your progress on your device, sends anonymous gameplay statistics, and shows ads from Google AdMob.
1. Data kept on your device
Your best score, settings (sound, vibration) and recent results are stored on your device. They are not sent to us. Your phone may include them in its own backups (iCloud, Google backup) according to your device settings. Uninstalling the game deletes them.
2. Anonymous gameplay statistics
To learn which parts of the game are too hard, too easy or broken, the game sends gameplay events to PostHog (hosted in the EU), our analytics provider. For example: a run started, the round reached, a photo's score, whether an ad was shown, or an error happened. We also receive the app version and whether the device runs iOS or Android. We never receive your name, email, contacts, advertising ID or device ID, and we have set up our analytics so that it does not store your IP address.
- In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and other places where a privacy law requires consent (and whenever we cannot tell yet), nothing is stored on your device for statistics. Events carry a random number that exists only while the game is open, so they cannot be linked to you or to your other sessions.
- Elsewhere, the game creates a random install number on your device, so we can see whether players come back (for example, a day later). It is not linked to you, and events played offline are kept on the device until they can be sent.
- Uninstalling the game deletes the install number and any unsent events. To object to this processing or ask a question about it, contact us (section 7).
- We use this data only to improve the game. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location and how you interact with ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent when you first open the game. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy choices in the game.
- On iOS, the game asks for permission before your advertising identifier is used for tracking. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads).
- Without consent, ads may still be shown, but they are not personalised.
4. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to its processing. The statistics we hold are anonymous and cannot be traced back to you; for data Google holds, use Google's tools linked above. For any question, contact us below.
6. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
